Itineraries
Day 1
Da Nang - Hai Van pass - Prao ~ 166km
Start the day with a visit to Marble Mountain, a cluster of five marble and limestone hills in Ngu Hanh Son District. You can explore the caves, pagodas, and temples inside the mountains, as well as the stunning panoramic views of Da Nang City and its surroundings.
Then, head to My Khe Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Da Nang. Take a quick stroll along the white sandy shore, and soak up the sun and the sea breeze.
Next, visit Lady Buddha, a 67-meter-tall statue of the Goddess of Mercy that overlooks Da Nang Bay. You can climb up to the statue's shoulders for an amazing view of the city and the coastline. After that, visit Monkey Mountain, a nearby national park that's home to a diverse range of wildlife and flora.
Continue your journey by riding through the scenic Hai Van Pass, a mountainous road that connects Da Nang and Hue. There are many stops along the way where you can take pictures and learn about the history and culture of the region.
Stop for lunch at Lang Co Beach, a beautiful bay with turquoise water and fine sand. You can enjoy fresh seafood and admire the stunning scenery.
After lunch, ride up a mountain pass towards Prao, a small town in the highlands of central Vietnam. Stopover at a tea plantation to learn about the production process and taste some of the best tea in the region.
Arrive in Prao in the late afternoon, and check into a 2-star hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2
Prao - A Luoi - Ho Chi Minh trail - Hue ~ 160km
Start the day by riding along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, a legendary road that was used during the Vietnam War to transport troops and supplies. You'll be amazed by the scenic beauty of the mountains, forests, and rivers along the way.
Stop at A Luoi, a small town near the Laos border that's known for its ethnic minority villages. You can visit some of the villages to learn about their culture, traditions, and daily life.
Visit Hamburger Hill, a historical site where a major battle took place between American and North Vietnamese forces in 1969. You can climb up to the hilltop for a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Stop for lunch at A Luoi, and taste some of the local dishes that are famous for their unique flavors and ingredients.
Watch the handicraft sewing of the Van Kieu ethnic minority, who are skilled in weaving and embroidery.
Keep riding down through Ma Oi Pass, another scenic road that offers breathtaking views of the mountains and forests.
Go swimming at Mau Waterfall, a natural beauty spot that's surrounded by lush vegetation and cascading waterfalls.
Finally, ride on highway 49 towards Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. You'll arrive in Hue in the late afternoon, where the tour will end.
